Darko Karajić graduated in classical guitar at the Academy of Music in Zagreb in the class of professor Ištvan Remer, and received his master’s and doctorate degrees at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade under the mentorship of professor Vera Ogrizović.

As a member of the ensembles MUSICA ANTIQUA, ARS NOVA, RENESANS, BALKANIKA, MINSTREL, ANONYMUS, LEVANT, CANSO, NEW TRINITY BAROQUE…, he performed around the world.

He participated in various musical projects, stylistically varied, from music inspired by ethnic sound, music of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque, to music for film and theater; and the result of all that is more than twenty discography releases.

He is the author of the collection Music by Johan Sebastian Bach arranged for guitar.

In 2015, he released his first solo project called Journey.

He is the initiator of lute lessons in music education in Serbia.

He is the artistic director of the medieval music festival MEDIMUS in Prizren.

He works at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
